Operating April to October, the Rocky Mountaineer is synonymous with the Canadian Rockies. Offering three rail journeys, either east to Banff or Lake Louise, or north to Jasper you’ll encounter majestic mountain peaks, dramatic gorges, stunning crystal lakes and rivers, desert like canyons, rich ranchlands and UNESCO World Heritage national parks.

The best part? With highlights best seen by train, you can catch an award-winning daylight luxury train journey with panoramic views through the heart of it all. It’s essential to always have your camera at the ready, because you never know what wildlife you’ll spot around the next corner!

You’ll constantly hear shouts of “bear”, “mamma bear and her cub” and “deer” all along the journey! It’s such an exciting time, and the train kindly slows down so everyone has a chance to see. I primarily work on the Orbit World Travel side of our business, specialising in business and group travel. But as a traveller myself, I love chatting with customers and the team about their upcoming adventures — there’s nothing better than sharing in the excitement of a great trip!

Travel has played a huge role in my life. From years of family holidays to the Gold Coast and Fiji, where the kids spent hours in the pool or on the playground, to unforgettable highlights like Disneyland (they were 10 and 12 — the perfect age!), followed by a relaxing week in Mexico. These days, with older kids, we’re seeking more adventure. Our recent trip to Vietnam was a standout — from the vibrant energy of Ho Chi Minh City to the peaceful beauty of Hoi An's lanterns and Halong Bay. If you haven’t been, it’s a must!

Next on my list? Europe. While I’ve done a couple of quick trips in the past, I’m keen to take the time to explore the diverse cultures and rich history of the places I’ve spent years helping others discover.

My favourite place I have visited is Puerto Rico - from the beautiful white-sand beaches and the best coffee & chocolate I’ve ever had, this country is so rich with culture. It’s sure to be a memorable port stop on your next Caribbean Cruise.

The next place I would love to explore is Indonesia & South America!
